Don’t Panic About the End of GreenON Rebates—Other Incentives Still Available
- GreenON, Incentives, Rebates, Tips
On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, it was announced that the GreenON rebate program was over. Many homeowners in the Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent region are confused about their eligibility, the status of their project and how the cancellation affects other incentives.
Current GreenON Status
If you have a signed work order with a participating GreenON contractor and work is completed by August 31, 2018–you will still be eligible to receive compensation through the GreenON rebates program. However, if you didn’t sign a contract for work before June 19, 2018—new applications are not being accepted.
Alternatives to GreenON Rebates
While many people are upset with the news of the cancellation, there are still other rebates that homeowners can qualify for.
- Union Gas and Enbridge incentives provide homeowners with savings when they upgrade their furnace, boiler or water heater.
- IESO and Save on Energy rebates offer up to $850 off a new central air conditioning system.
- Manufacturer discounts from Daikin and Lennox offer seasonal promotions that can provide significant savings on complete home comfort systems.
Even though GreenON rebates have been cancelled, there are still other incentives that you could qualify for. We can help you find the best incentives and rebates for your home and help you save as much as possible on a new heating or cooling system.
